Notes from the Eulogy given at Dino's funeral:
"Dino, Italian born, endeared himself to the hearts of many because of his generosity of spirit and caring, loving nature. After graduating from Canterbury Boys High School, he entered the faculty of Medicine at Sydney University. After his father was interned, he then left University, enlisted in the AIF, and served in New Guinea.
After the Armistice he returned to Medical School, continued his studies and graduated in 1950. Over the last fifty years he worked in the inner western suburbs of Sydney, commencing at Enmore and Newtown and ongoing inner city suburbs, where his mastery of the Italian language was valued and welcomed by the Italian community and a polyglot of other nationalities.
Dino and Joan were married in the Our Lady, Star of the Sea church, Kirribilli in 1950 and this for Dino is his alpha and his omega.
He was loved and cherished by his family.
Arrivaderci dear One."
