IN the 1800's when she was born they didn't register the childrens name in the hospital, they had to go into the registry. So when her father went in to register her he knew it was "Pearl", and he knew her middle name was something like "Syl" something but he couldn't recall exactly. He looked out the window and saw an advertisement for Sylvester Sausuges and thought "ahah!" and he used that.
It was supposed to be Sylvia.
