ROBERT CLEELAND Born third son of Arthur CLEELAND, was born in Down county, Ireland, about 1774, and came with his parents to Butler county. His father gave him 100 acres of land, which he settled and improved, and spent his life thereon. He married Phoebe WIMER, and their children were as follows:
Robert Cleeland
and wife were pioneer members of the Portersville Presbyterian church. He
died in 1837, and she in 1844. Politically, he was a Whig, but never held
any public office. |
